General

Processing of your personal data takes place if you have granted your consent to this or data processing is permitted by statutory provisions. The initiation or processing of a contract, the granting of consent or our overriding legitimate interests serve as the legal basis for us to process data.

Data processing

Server log data
Whenever our webshop is visited, the web server automatically collects information about the technical infrastructure of the visitor (browser, operating system, Internet provider, IP address, date and time, sites visited). This serves to ensure the correct delivery of contents to our website, the security and stability of our web server and the optimisation of our website. No link is made with personal data stored by us.

Data processing in general
You can visit the webshop without disclosing any personal data. Your personal data will only be processed by us if you transmit them to us for creation of a user account, processing contracts and in connection with establishing contacts.

Contract processing
The disclosure of data is mandatory when purchasing a product in our webshop as such data is essential for processing the contract with you. Your last name, first name, address, country, telephone number and e-mail address are recorded. If payment takes place via online payment services such as a credit card or PayPal, payment is processed via the online payment system of the provider in question. Such processing also includes the processing of personal and payment data by the provider of the applicable payment system.

You can optionally set up a user account during the order process. If you register for a user account, your data will be stored in the user account for further purchases. All information about your previous purchases (products and their quantities, unit prices and total, payment amount) is also stored for each purchase.

Newsletter
Our website offers the option of subscribing to a free newsletter. When registering for the newsletter, data from the input screen (e-mail address) are transferred. The date and time of registration are also recorded. The data are only used for dispatching the newsletter.

Data access
Within our company, those offices receive access to your data that require them to fulfil our contractual and statutory obligations. Third parties commissioned by us (such as payment service providers and logistics partners) can also receive data for these purposes but may only make use of your personal data for fulfilment of the instructions given by us (in particular for processing the contract concluded with you) and not for their own purposes. Should the data protection level of a country not meet that of Switzerland, we ensure by contractual means that the protection of your personal data matches that of Switzerland at all times.

Cookies

Our webshop makes use of cookies – small text files that are stored in your browser and necessary for our webshop to function correctly. These cookies serve both to improve the efficiency of the webshop, e.g. by facilitating faster load times, and for the analysis of data traffic, the number of visitors and search queries carried out by our webshop users. However, the cookies used by us in the webshop do not permit any identification of the user or a user-specific evaluation.

Although you can adjust the settings of your browser software to prevent the installation of cookies, we would point out that if you do so, you might not be able to make full use of all the functions of the webshop.

Google Analytics

Our webshop uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (www.google.com). Google Analytics uses cookies that facilitate an analysis of the use of our webshop by you. The information generated by the cookies about your use of our webshop is usually transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. If IP anonymisation is activated for this webshop, however, Google will truncate your IP beforehand within member states of the European Union or other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information to analyse your use of the webshop, to compile reports on webshop activities for us and to provide other services associated with the use of the webshop and the Internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will not associate the IP address transmitted by your browser through Google Analytics with any other data held by Google. You can prevent Google from collecting and processing the data collected by cookies and relating to your use of the webshop (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Social media links

We make use of links in our webshop that facilitate the sharing, commenting on or evaluation of contents on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and VKontakte). However, use of this function requires you to log into the corresponding social media platform. Please note that we have no precise knowledge of the contents of the data transmitted via such links to the corresponding third-party providers. We likewise have no knowledge of the extent and manner in which such third-party providers have access to cookies already installed in your browser and/or install further cookies. Please consult the privacy policies of the third-party providers for further details.

Duration of data storage

Your personal data are stored for the period necessary for the purpose of processing or for legal reasons. If we process your personal data on the basis of a contractual relationship, such data will remain stored for at least as long as the contractual relationship exists and/or any claims have not lapsed or for as long as we are legally or contractually required to retain such data.

Right of information and deletion and opting-out

Please submit all inquiries concerning your rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability by e-mail to [email protected] On top of this, to the extent applicable to you, you have a right of appeal to the data protection supervisory authority at your place of residence, workplace or the place of alleged data protection violation. In case of doubt we reserve the right in the event of inquiries to request proof of your identity.

We wish to draw your attention to the fact that even after receipt of a request for deletion we may be obliged to retain some of your personal data within the scope of our statutory or contractual retention obligations.

Should we send you a newsletter by e-mail, you have the right to prevent the dispatch of further e-mails via a web link.

You can revoke consent granted to us for the processing of personal data at any time. Please note that such revocation only applies to the future. Any processing taking place prior to revocation is not affected by this.

Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to guarantee adequate security of personal data, in particular to avoid any unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data and unintended loss, destruction or damage.

Our employees and the third parties commissioned by us that process data on our behalf have been informed of these data processing principles and sworn to secrecy and compliance with the statutory data protection requirements.

Modifications and updates

Changes and adjustments to the webshop or the implementation of new technologies can entail changes to these data processing principles. Users with a user account will be informed of all significant changes by e-mail to the e-mail address stored in the user account or by means of appropriate notification during the login procedure.

The currently applicable data processing principles can also be accessed at all times in our webshop.
