Take a photo containing decorations and costumes of your Eurovision Party and submit your photo on Twitter, then tag your Photo with tags @eurovision and #ShineALight within the Submission Period.
The Competition opens on Saturday, 16 May 2020 at 12:00 CEST and closes on Sunday, 17 May 2020 at 12:00 CEST. Only the winners will be notified by end of May 2020 via Twitter direct messaging from @eurovision.

To mark the broadcast on 16 May 2020 of the television programme “Europe Shine a Light”, the European Broadcasting Union (who we’ll refer to as “EBU”, “us”, “we” and “our” in these terms and conditions) is organizing a competition on Twitter whereby entrants are invited to submit photos containing decorations and costumes consistent with what one would consider a “Eurovision Party” (the Competition).
By entering in the Competition, entrants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to the Terms and Conditions attached herein prior to entering this Competition.

submit your Photo on Twitter - https://twitter.com/Eurovision, then tag your Photo with tags @eurovision and #ShineALight within the Submission Period. The @eurovision handle in combination with #ShineALight must be included in the social media post for a successful submission.
Entrants in this Competition must set their personal Twitter account to "Public" to enable us to view Competition submissions.
No purchase is necessary to enter. There shall be one prize per winner and entrants shall not be allowed to enter more than one Photo in the Competition. In case an entrant submits multiple Photos, we reserve the right to either take into consideration the Photo which has been submitted first or to disqualify the Entrant at our sole discretion.
To be eligible to enter in this Competition, entrants must be aged of at least 18 years as of the date of submission of the Photo and have a twitter account.
Employees of Highlight Event AG, the European Broadcasting Union, Eurovision Services SA and its affiliates or suppliers as well as their immediate family members are ineligible. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. We reserve the right to ask for proof of name, age and address of both winners.

We reserve the right to amend the dates above and these Rules at any time. All Photos received outside the Submission Period will not be entered into the Competition selection.
Only Photos posted with the tags @eurovision and #ShineALight on Twitter during the Submission Period and which remain visible on Twitter on and after 17 May 2020 12:00 CEST will be eligible to enter in the Competition and will be considered in the Selection Process. In case the submission does not include the @eurovision handle in combination with #ShineALight, your photo will not be entered in the Competition.

Photos shall not 1) promote illegal behavior; 2) support racial, religious, sexual or other invidious prejudice; 3) advocate sexual or violent exploitation; 4) violate rights established by law or agreement; 5) invade the privacy of any person; or 6) be otherwise inappropriate as determined by us in our sole and conclusive determination.
Timeline: Between 17 May and 22 May 2020
Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible entries received. All eligible entries received before the end of the Submission Period will be entered into the Competition and given a fair evaluation for a chance to win.
Pre-selection: The Eurovision team will preselect 100 Photos on the basis of the following criteria:
The 100 prevselected Photos will be split at random into five groups.
Selection: The winners will be chosen through a panel of judges connected to the Eurovision Song Contest. The jury panel will be composed of five performers having taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest (the Jurors) and they will select the winning entries out of the Pre-selected Photos. Each Juror will receive one of the five groups of Photos and will select the winner out of the group that has been allocated to him/her. There are no defined outlines of what constitutes a “Eurovision Party” theme and the selection of the winner in each group is left to the appreciation of each Juror.
The jury’s decision is final and no appeal shall be possible. Only the winners shall be contacted and announced publicly.

Only the winners will be notified by end of May 2020 via Twitter direct messaging from @eurovision and no other correspondence will be entered into.
Each winner must, within 48 hours of being notified as a winner, confirm to us by a return Twitter message that s/he wishes to accept the prize and accepts the use and possible inclusion of his/her Photo as further described below.
We reserve the right to change the winner(s) of the Competition, If we cannot get hold of (a) winner(s), or if (a) winner(s) do(es) not confirm acceptance of the prize within 48 hours of our twitter message notifying s/he that s/he is a winner, we will give the prize to the next eligible entrant selected at random out of the preselected Photos.

The prizes will be sent by post by 30 June 2020 at the latest to the Winners who have confirmed that they accept the Prize.
Delivery costs is included in the prize.
The specifics of the Prize are solely determined by us and we reserve the right to substitute the Prize (or parts of it) mentioned above by another one.
The Prize may not be claimed by a third party on the winner's behalf. We do not accept any responsibility if a winner is not able to take up part or all of the Prize.
The prize is non-transferable. The winners shall not be allowed to transfer or sell part of all of the Prize. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winners. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for us to publish the winners names on our social media accounts and on EBU digital outlets, likeness, and the Photo as further detailed below.

Once the winner has been confirmed we will issue a public statement on the winners on EBU websites and social media outlets.
